Nipple tweaking and breast pumps

Is it true they can bring on labour?
Whats the best method, and does the breast pump have to be electric?

In my experience it doesnt. I tried it with dd2 and still had to be induced at +10.
However it still maybe worth a try if you have exhausted all the other options.
