So my daughter is just over 2 weeks old, I had to have episiotomy stitches. They seemed to of been healing as the stinging sensation disappeared but all of a sudden I've noticed an unpleasant smell down below :( i noticed a few stitches on my pad but I've read that's normal. Apart from being a bit sore with itchiness I do feel fine, also I'm still leaking sometimes it's clear then looks like old blood again. I don't know if it's just the normal postpartum phase or have I got my wound infected? I bath everyday but still instantly smell that horrible smell! I'm now discharged from the MW so I'll be calling the GP in the morning. Just wanted other people's advice?
