Remind me - what should I do to prepare?

I'm 34 wks pg with no. 2.

I have not thought about the birth at all.

With pfb I was obsessed and had everything prepared and thought through etc (for all the good it did )

I need to get organised. Last night I made a list which included the following

  1. Do some exercise (bit late now!)
  2. Perineal massage ?
  3. Raspberry leaf capsules ?
  4. Tour of hospital (dd was born at different hospital so I want to see round the place)
  5. Read up about bf as it did not go well last time and I want to improve chances
  6. Hospital bag no later than 36 wks
  7. Childcare for dd
  8. Birth plan

Have I forgotten anything? Is there anything you did which really helped when it came to the crunch?

TIA

Sounds like you've got it all covered! Don't forget to pack your green notes and some energy boosting snacks!! I found Lucozade tablets worked a treat!

Buy nice toiletries and pjs for afterwards. Pack food. Put petrol in car and money for car park.

I don't know whether you need them or not, but I forgot my Hair Straighteners, so when I had that first shower and everyone started taking pictures I looked more shocking than I really should have done!!! (and I looked shocking enough as it was!) I still can't look at those first photo's of me and DS together!
