Ache In Bladder After EMCS 9 weeks PO

I am 9 weeks Post Emergency C-Section

All is healing well in terms of my scar etc.

But I am just curious to see if anyone has experienced the same as me;

Pain in my bladder:

While emptying my bladder especially after it being full, I experience quite an uncomfortable ache, it aches more the emptier my bladder gets during urinating, when finished it aches (like a period pain ache or a muscle ache) for a few minutes and then stops. Doesn't ache much at all if my bladder isn't very full
I have seen my GP about this, he said he isn’t sure what it is as they don’t tend to really touch the bladder during the surgery itself, he said it could be bruising from pregnancy itself and then the muscles around the bladder aching, but i’m 100% certain that it is my bladder.
It isn’t a urine infection as that has been checked multiple times, but it also doesn’t come with any burning sensation or anything like a urine infection does either.

I had a physio appt 2 weeks ago, I told her about this and she said she hasn’t ever heard of this and this is quite uncommon, she asked if I drink lots of fizzy drinks but she kept mentioning diet coke as apparently the sweetners in this can be an irritant to the bladder itself, I admittedly do not drink enough water, but after drinking a large amount of water in one go, it still hurts when emptying my bladder.

Has anyone else experienced this & if so what is it? Or am I on my own with this experience?🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Thanks:)

Hi!

2 weeks post EMCS and I think I'm experiencing the same.. I also had this with my first EMCS four years ago, it was put down to bruising from the catheter, although I'm pretty certain it had passed by 9 weeks.

It's weirdly the only bit of pain that I currently have

Hopefully yours passes soon!

Jas
