Hi everyone, I’m 40+1 today and been trying all the usual ways people say to get labour going but nothing has worked so far, I was just wondering what worked for other people or if nothing works and they’re just all myths?! šŸ˜‚ Thank you!

Have sex! I have heard that a lot.

For me: I went 40 plus 10 - I wanted to pull my DD out myself! I went for an acupressure treatment and my waters broke 2 hours later. She was born the next day.

Other things I tried:

Crabwalking
Bounce on gym ball

Good luck šŸ’

Walking and lots of bouncing on a pregnancy ball. Also that weird step walk where one foot is on the pavement, and the other in the road (that was in the hospital grounds šŸ˜‚)

I was 40+3 and sex, a long walk, and a really nice evening with my husband at the cinema really got things going!
