Calling all doulas...

What do you do if you have a woman wanting to use your services who has a history of preterm delivery? That's it really. Just wondered because doulas seem to be 'on-call' for four weeks only.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

be on call earlier ! doulas will do what is best for each individual mum !

What happens if the baby isn't born early then? Do you charge extra for being on call for more than four weeks?

i think you;d have to work it out with the doula, as she might turn down other work, or take on a back up in that situation, would also depend on how many more weeks on call were required.

i did an extra 10 days on call for someone , but did not charge extra as i was training.

You'd have to talk to the potential doulas and see what they'd do. Personally I wouldn't charge extra but would still take on other clients and make sure you'd met my back-up.
