I’ve been on an induction ward since yesterday, I am being induced due to gestational diabetes and this is my first child.
yesterday I had the pessary inserted and it was confirmed I was 1cm dilated, my cervix was soft (I had two sweeps last week), that stayed in for 25 hours but nothing happened so I had another examination and the gel inserted today, I was still 1cm. After 6 hours I had another examination in which I was told my cervix was short and far back and baby’s head was high despite everyone else telling me in previous examinations it was low. They didn’t put another gel in because on the toco machine I am having 3 contractions every ten minutes. They’ve said they want to leave me for 6 hours and see if my body does anything
my waters haven’t broke, I haven’t lost my mucus plug or had a bloody show. I am feeling tightenings but I’m not sure whether they’re definitely contractions? I am in pain but not a severe amount.
just wondering if anyone has any advise or similar experience? I’m deserpate to get out of here and give birth!
