Dilapan 'rods' for induction - any thoughts?

I'm just wondering if anyone has had an induction using the dilapan rods?

I'm 30 weeks and had GD which apart from the morning is under control but I'm on a good load of insulin. I had it with my 1st as well.

On my 1st I was induced using pessary/ gel drugs anyway. After three days it was not progressing and I had an EMCS.

I've been advised going at 38 weeks is the safest option again this time.

They cannot do the drug induction. So have said it would be rods. I asked if that is likely to work. The MW said it will depend of a variety of things. But maybe a 30% sucess chance. But she said I wouldn't be let go for days. If it didn't progress at 12 hours I'd have a Section.

I really don't want to put myself through the ordeal again but maybe this will be better?

Anyone know anything about this or point me in the right direction?

Hi, thanks for responding. I got a little bit of info but must look into it a bit more, just super busy with a million other things in life that I don't have all the time I want
