Spinal anaesthesia

Hi ladies,

I had a c section 18m ago and had the worst reaction to the spinal, I know it's normal to make your blood pressure drop slightly but mine fell through the floor, I felt faint, couldn't stop throwing up, was as white as Casper the ghost for hours and sweating like a fat kid in a sweet shop. I'm due my second very soon and have another c section booked, I was just wondering if anyone had been through the same and didn't have the same reaction the next time around or whether to prepare myself to go through it again 🥲 Honestly more worried about feeling like that again than the actual op itself!

My second was better (although the anaesthetist kept asking if I was ok and was clearly a bit concerned!). I don’t know whether I felt better because I knew what to expect or I reacted to it better. I think prepare yourself and then if it’s better it’s a nice bonus

Ah that's great to hear, thank you! Xx
