Pins and needles hands & feet 5 weeks post c section

Hi all,
I’m 5 weeks post elective c section today and have felt like my recovery has been a lot harder/different to my emergency c section 5 years ago with my first.
I’ve noticed my legs still feel very heavy and find it difficult climbing the stairs. I seem to have pins and needs pretty much all the time in my ankles and feet. I find it gets worse as the day goes on and can have slight swelling in my ankles too. I do occasionally feel like I get pins and needles in my wrists and hands too.
In general I’m feeling super tired (but I do have a 5 week old and a 5 year old), and can sometimes feel like my breathing is heavy. Not breathless as such, but like a heaviness to catch my breath.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I’m hoping to book an appt this week with my new gp as previous one I couldn’t get an appt. I asked the midwives re my legs but that was within the first week of post c section so they weren’t concerned.
I just feel like I should feel more active and mobile by now and the constant pins and needles isn’t right. Its making me really worried something serious is wrong.

Pins and needles needs to be investigated, see GP, who will do some basic neurological tests and refer if they think it necessary. Good luck OP & many congratulations on your new baby.
