Back pain with pessary induction

Hi, am 41+5 weeks, and had a sweep and pessary induction today at 4pm. She could feel baby's head but said cervix was soft but still posterior, and that I was 1cm dilated.
Since 7pm the back pain has been relentless! I've had no contractions round the front, maybe a couple of period type pains, but my lower back is in constant pain. Am trying to get a few hours sleep as they let me go home, but I can't seem to stop moving as the only relief is a heat pack and constantly rolling my hips or rocking back and forth. Did anyone else have this?

My 2 boys were all all back pain, hardly any.pain in the front. Both were back to back. My 2 girls were pain all in the front. Hopefully you've gotten some sleep and baby is well on its way. I can't say anything helped to be honest, but your baby will be here soon, if not already here.

I was induced with both my boys and the pain was all in my back both times

I really didn't realise all the pain could be in my back instead of at the front!! It was relentless but baby boy was born at 2pm Saturday!! Great labour without pain relief but went in the water which helped! Unfortunately ended up with spinal block in the theatre as had emergency post partum hemorrhage two hours later, two very different experiences! So still no sleep but he's worth it xx

Congratulations, if you do have another baby, it doesn't mean it will be the same, enjoy your baby
