I had my 3rd c section 4 weeks ago (elective). Healed and recovered amazingly, stopped pain relief after a few days, wasnt trying to be super woman but genuinely didn't need any and i have been back to normal everyday activities very quickly without any problems. I have woke up this morning with some pain in my lower abdomen area, feels tender to touch almost, as if area is bruised? But no visible brusing present on my stomach. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Is it part of the healing process? My other 2 I had pain/tenderness at the beginning but had cleared up by this stage?

I’m 2 weeks post c section and was the same as you, the pain was minimal and I felt I was able to get up and move around with ease. Very quickly though I had some pain and discomfort which then made my wound look red and inflamed. it was an infection which needed strong antibiotics to clear.

Id keep an eye on it, check for redness, swelling, any leakage and touch to see if it feels hot. Any of those symptoms then I’d phone your local maternity triage to get checked over. If the pain becomes quite strong then I’d also phone to get checked.
