It may be gone by the time you give birth.

Yes, i woke up with it the morning my back waters broke! And yes i felt awful, but as time went on and the pain crept in, (i had my baby at home too!!) i didnt notice it because i was too busy concentrating on dealing with labour..i went into my own little world and breathed in that gas n air and it was all over in few hours. And my baby was actually born with a cold too, but we soon got over it. I'm sure you will be fine..and as avenanap says it may have gone before you go into labour, get plenty of rest and tlc..and good luck.

Yes, I had bronchitis around the same week and couldn't breathe properly - was pretty scared about going into labour.

But I was told that somehow, your body sort of knows its not really up to the task and holds off. I was also told that in the rare cases where someone with flu gives birth, you're so distracted by the birth itself, the symptoms sort of go on hold, til right after.

Rest up, lots of hot herbal teas etc and try not to worry.
