I am booked in for my third c-section
1st was ecs 2nd was planned .
Recovery on my 2nd was awful. And I am feeling very anxious about my 3rd especially now I have a toddler also! Does anyone have any positive stories they can share?

Two emergencies then ‘strongly persuaded’ to go for a planned one . Worst bit was having to make my brain work with juggling three little ones (eldest were 3 and 2 when youngest born . Recovery took slightly longer as I couldn’t rest as much but spent lots of time in the early weeks sitting with all three doing story time or colouring or other quiet stuff. You quickly learn how to find a seat before pulling a toddler onto your lap ☺️☺️ their dad would take the older two out for fresh air and energetic stuff for the first couple of weeks but after that I just got on with it - I was lucky to have my mum nearby as well . Didn’t drive until four weeks though- my brain wasn’t ready !!

Yes, I had 3 c-secs. 1st emergence, 2nd two planned. They were all completely fine, and although the emergency was pretty horrific the recovery time was still pretty good. I loved being able to know when exactly the baby was coming.
