Hello. About 11 weeks post c section now. Just want to ask how was your recovery post c section? Ive got no more pain unless baby kicks the post op site when being held. Ive got no more vaginal bleeding as well. However, whenever i go up and down the stairs, my abdomen just feels so ever heavy, like i am carrying a bowling ball and my knees are feeling the brunt it. Does this feeling ever go away (like pre-pregnancy)?
also, how did you guys bring down your postpartum bellies? Ive been doing about walks in the park twice a week. Im just curious avout exercises coz i dont want to strain my abdominal muscles unnecessarily.
TIA

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I was physically fine by 11 weeks and didn’t experience this using the stairs. I went to a postpartum exercise class from 12 weeks, twice a week, plus a daily walk, and lots of calorie counting (not sensible). I was back to pre baby weight at 5 months pp

No I didn't get that (I've had two). I walked a lot after both were born and after the first hit the gym too.

Have you considered having a Mummy MOT? Honestly the best thing I ever did after my first.

I’d recommend finding a postnatal personal trainer. They should be able to assess if you have any an separation and recommend the correct level of exercise.

I had similar feelings to you, especially the stairs. Did nothing about it. About 6 months post partum my back went completely. I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t lift the baby. The Physio I saw said it was because pregnancy and c-section ruined my core strength and my back was working too hard to compensate. Once I started with my trainer, the back issues went away and haven’t come back.
