Apologise in advance if this tmi. Had mine earlier and getting period type cramps that come and go. Every now and then I go to the toilet and there’s a bit more blood. Also some with mucus and then it starts tailing off as I wipe but it’s there each time. How much is normal?

Also absolutely can’t sleep. How do people sleep when this is going on?

@BiscuitLover3678 I didn't get a show before my elective c section so I'm not much help, but you haven't said how far along you are. Regardless, I would call the maternity advice line and tell them, they will ask you relevant additional questions and advise what you should do. They should be 24/7 so call now. I wouldn't trust getting advice from anywhere else.

How many weeks pregnant are you? I’d call the maternity ward and see what they say.

With my second pregnancy, I was asked to go in and be checked with your symptoms as I wasn’t sure the blood was normal. I was checked and had a sweep at 11pm, I gave birth a few hours later.

Don’t leave it, always ring and get professional advice.

With both my pregnancies I had a bloody show, then 2 days later I was in labour. You need to ring the ward and let them know what is happening, they might check you but they might just say to ring back when they get closer together etc

I’m over 39 weeks. It’s not too much I don’t think I’m just curious now. Will give them a ring.
