Just waiting patiently 😁

And how much faster was the actual labour?

I’m afraid to say me second was 2 weeks overdue and, so, induced. But, the labour was very fast; I only needed the pessary at about 11pm, waters burst at about 11.30pm and she was born at 5am!
good luck!

QforCucumber · 10/01/2024 17:36

Also 41 weeks but instead of a 3 day labour it was 45 mins from waters breaking to birth 😂

Yes - apparently having a 9lber as your first makes great way for the wee 7lb 13oz one to come straight out 😂😂

CluelessPepperoni · 10/01/2024 22:40

42 weeks, a day before I was supposed to be induced. My second labout was about 12 hours, half the time of the first.

Joddlebod · 10/01/2024 22:40

41 weeks for first, 42 weeks for second

RagzRebooted · 10/01/2024 22:42

First was 41+3 (8lb1oz) 40 odd hour labour
Second 41 weeks (9lb5oz) roughly 6 hours
Third 40+5 (8lb15oz) roughly 12 hours

My mum had us all early so I was convinced I'd have mine early. How wrong I was!

LittleOwl153 · 10/01/2024 22:43

42 weeks and 36hrs dc1
41 weeks and about 12hrs although only and 3 active for dc2

Good luck OP and anyone else waiting!

autumnboys · 10/01/2024 22:43

DS1 41+1, long labour, emcs
DS2 38+6, about 6 hours, also emcs
DS3 35+5, we were both quite poorly, straight to emcs

WonkyBricks · 10/01/2024 22:47

First 41 weeks, 3 hour active labour, incl 45 mins pushing

Second 40 weeks exactly and 5 hour active labour. 10 mins pushing? Maybe less. Baby was born en caul (in the membranes). I'm sure if they'd broken it would have been a lot quicker! I enjoyed this labour a lot more though ☺️

xLMCx · 10/01/2024 22:48

First baby came at 41+1 labour was 4 hours. Second baby came at 40+3 labour was 17 hours. Even though the second labour was longer I would definitely say my first labour was worse as I had no idea what to expect with the pain and how to deal with it. Thoroughly enjoyed the labour and birth with my second due to not being a first timer. Congratulations and good luck for when little one arrives 🎉

WhatanEmbarrasment · 10/01/2024 22:49

Over due with all of them. My first was the earliest at 10 days overdue

Nousernamesleftatall · 10/01/2024 22:50

39 weeks.

first labour: forceps after 12 hours
second: so much easier 3

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 10/01/2024 22:53

40+5 with DD1 and a 17 hour labour
40+2 with DD2 and a 3 hour labour, pushed for 5 minutes

Currently 27+5 with DS and my midwife has started talking about potential unplanned home births after the speed DD2 appeared. 😬

SpeculatingRooks · 10/01/2024 22:57

1st baby 41 weeks 44hr labour (after a sweep) episiotomy baby born face up!
2nd baby 14 months later born at 40+5 7 hour labour, easy as pie!
3rd baby 40+3 just under 7 hours, born en caul so surprised everyone because waters hadn't broken so midwives thought I was just making a fuss and she wouldn't be born for ages.
4th baby 40 weeks exactly as I went into labour early in the morning of the day I was supposed to be getting induced (as I was 40 years old).

PuttingDownRoots · 10/01/2024 23:05

Dd1 40+5, pushing stage less than a minute, unattended. (Was in early labour for a while before that, it was an unexpected acceleration!)
DD2, 40 weeks exactly... pushing stage a steady 90 seconds with a midwife present.

Moier · 10/01/2024 23:22

40 weeks for 1st .. 11 hour labour.. weight 6 pounds.( Waters broke)
42 weeks for second.
7 hour labour weight 6 pounds 13.( induced with pessary).
Both daughters.

growingup5 · 11/01/2024 00:31

39+2, much smaller baby

determinedtomakethiswork · 11/01/2024 00:57

A week late for my first one and a week early for my second! Best of luck 💐

novocaine4thesoul · 11/01/2024 01:18

1st baby 41 weeks (after a sweep) only 12 hours but a difficult birth (10lbs 2oz), eventually after every drug going, epidural, episiotomy, ventouse, forceps, boy
2nd baby 12 months later (yeah I know) probs had a sweep, 42 weeks, never knew I was in labour until I "suddenly knew" was 9cm on arrival but the anesthetist was passing by so had an epidural, slowed things down, but born within 3 hours of painless labour, 9lbs, girl
3rd - 5 years later, old by now, so induced at 41 weeks (horrible) born without pain relief (because I was "not in labour" suddenly after about 6 hours, girl
4th - 15 months after the 3rd, induced at 37 weeks (due to poor lay of baby and finally got head down) horrible pain caused by being induced again. Eventually epidural, then born after 12 hours. Covered in vernix and not keen on being born.

thaegumathteth · 11/01/2024 01:32

Both born at 41+6 xand both labours 6 hours start to finish

PinkPlantCase · 11/01/2024 12:11

First was 41+1 and I had a sweep at 40+6. From first contraction to baby it was about 24 hours. Born 1.5 hours after my water broke.

Second was 40+6 without a sweep. 18 hours from first contraction to baby. Waters broke and baby’s head came out in the same contraction. Basically didn’t have transition or a pushing stage with baby 2.

Both born at home.

JanuaryBirthdays · 24/01/2024 21:23

DC1 40+5 Induced with drip (Pre-eclampsia)
DC2 40+4 Day after I had a sweep.
DC3 (7 years after DC2) 39+0 Began naturally.

Justyouwaitandseeagain · 24/01/2024 21:24

41 both times and both 3 day labours 🙄
