C Section Infection?

I’m just over 2 weeks post c-section and the midwife had taken the dressing off and thought it was healing well on day 5. I’ve now been discharged from the midwives this week and noticed yesterday on my wound there is a small amount of redness near the middle, could be a little bit open and a small amount of fluid in that area. It’s not running or flowing out and when I dab it with a bit of kitchen towel there’s the smallest amount of liquid which doesn’t smell but is yellow. It doesn’t hurt, I don’t feel ill but I’m wondering if this is the early stage of an infection or is it normal at about 2.5 weeks post section to have this?

Although I have been washing it with just water as they said and patting it dry I don’t think I was letting it air enough so I don’t know if I just need to do that more or if I should just go and get it seen just in case and have it cleaned if needed.

I’ve had 3 c sections, I would definitely ask someone to look at that. You might need a little course of antibiotics to stave off anything nasty. Congrats on your new baby! X

My scar released a small amount of fluid for nearly 2 weeks after my c section, also yellow but didn’t smell. I was worried and phoned the midwife, they are used to this and came to check it several times in case it was infected…I would definitely advise phoning them to get it looked at.
Mine wasn't infected and they advised I let air get to it more often to heal. I would let the air get to it while I slept at night and it healed after a few days x

Sorry if images are TMI.
I have increased pain slightly so asked husband to take picture of scar so I could have a look.
one side looks completely different to the other is the one side looking infected and open? or is this normal healing?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
