Hi all, this is my second pregnancy currently 6 weeks. My DD is 15 months and was born to us via emergency c section in 2022. My scar healed fine and I’ve not had any issues with that area. I had some pain today and got referred for an early scan. Baby is fine, thanking god, but they spotted a fibroid at the top of my uterus at 2CM. They said they’ll keep an eye on it as my pregnancy progresses. I never had this issue with my first, so I’m worried. The nurse said sometimes fibroids grow with the pregnancy as they are hormone related. I’m nervous because I want to go for an elective c section again with this preganancy but I read online somewhere that in some cases they preform Caesarean Hysterectomies too. I’m just anxious as to how problematic this fibroid issue can be, does anyone have experience with this? Or advise? I don’t see my obstetrician till Another few weeks as I’m still awaiting GP/Midwife to pick up my referral.
