Hi, has anyone experienced pins and needles in the middle of their back after having a spinal block? My baby was born 5 months ago via forceps however I was prepped for c section so had a spinal block. Now for the past month or so I’ve been having pins and needles half way up my back? 😫🫠 any similar experiences are welcomed, thanks in advance xx

I don’t think your pins and needles is anything to do with the spinal block. That’s been and gone out of your system for a very long time.

Please go to your gp with these symptoms.

Yeah I’m going to ring tomorrow, I thought possibly the needle itself could have caused some damage perhaps but I have no idea! Thank you will ring tomorrow xx

If your baby was born 5 months ago and the pins and needles only started 1 month ago it’s vanishingly unlikely to be anything to do with the spinal, especially if it’s higher than the level at which the needle was inserted. Your GP will be able to talk to a labour ward anaesthetist if they have concerns though.
