This is my third baby so i know what to expect from labour. This will hopefully be my first homebirth and i wondered what issues should i ask/discuss with her? The things i know already are that i want G&A and the injection for my placenta.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Things I wish I'd asked:

  • what's the honest chance of getting the mw (or a mw) you know for labour?
  • if you're planning a waterbirth, will you need to get out to deliver placenta?
  • what are the triggers which would necessitate going to hospital?

hurrah for you scorpio, homebirths are fab.

I found I didn'tn eed to ask my midwife much,. she had a big leaflet that she had to work her way through full of all the information she needed to give me. was great,.
she did focus on the negatives a lot- so be prepared for that.

oh, I'd ask if there is anything specific you need to provide. you'll prob need things like a lamp/torch in case they need to stitch you, waterproof sheets etc.
basically need to know what they will supply, and what is down to you

on a tangent, we booked in at that yurt place you suggested near you so you must let me know the must-do's in the area
