Canesten oral tablet or pessery ?

Hi all

I gave birth a week ago. At the 10 day check, the MW took a look down there to check healing (1st degree tear/no stitches) - and mentioned that the itching is most likely due to the healing but also a bit of thrush

I asked if I could use Canesten but forgot to ask whether it's better to use just the cream, or the pessary, or the oral tablet

If you've had thrush right after birth what did you use that you found helped with the itching fast?

I would buy the pharmacy own brand fluconazole, cheaper and just as effective.
Also safe if breastfeeding.
