5 weeks post partum… period!?

Ugh! The question in this post is “What are the chances that I’m starting my first period after pregnancy?”

So, lochia only just turned the pale browny/cream on Monday of this week, stayed that way all week. Friday I had pinkish discharge; yesterday I had some red bleeding, not a lot and it tailed off in the evening and none overnight, today more red bleeding but not loads, 1/12 of a pad maybe?
I’d not say I’ve overdone it at all, I built a flat pack table on Friday but I was sat on the floor pushing it round with my feet rather than lifting or straining myself.

Bottle fed baby and c-section delivery.

Last DC lochia finished at 5 weeks exactly and period arrived at 7 weeks exactly. All other pregnancies have had a 2-3 week gap between lochia ending and first period.

It’s a period isn’t it!

I think it could be your AF given that you're FFing Flowers

Ugh, I’d hoped to have at least a weeks grace between bleeding, not 3 or 4 days!
Realised the flat packing was yesterday so I’m ruling out the over doing it and thinking yep, period.

Sounds like it. I was gutted to get mine back so soon after birth too. I was even EBF!

I got mine week 6 after my first so it probably is yes.

1st pregnancy I went straight from lochia into period with no break as I remember I had my period at my 6 week check.

@Wrongsideofpennines love the username!

Yikes, it would appear it is then. I will brace myself for the hyper-tidal wave that first period always is.
I just… I don’t even feel like the lochia finished and only 5 weeks postpartum! It’s practically cruel!

With dd2 I got mine 6 weeks PP and I was EBF. I was absolutely fuming 😂

Appears to have been a false alarm; nothing for 24 hours now.
I have my 6 week check later this week, at 5 weeks 5 days postpartum so will talk to the nurse then about what’s going on.
I love that my body can grow and nurture a child but also hate that it can play such tricks!
