Looking for advice on what you would do in my situation.. Obviously I will be discussing all options with my consultant when I see her again next week but I am starting to feel extremely anxious and overwhelmed by the whole thing.

I am 33 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child, with both previous pregnancy’s I have had fast births and small PPHs (Around 800ml)..
With my first labour although it took a few hours to get going but I went from 5cm to giving birth in 2 hours and 8 minutes. With my second the whole labour was 1 hour 54 minutes start to finish and I didn’t make it to the hospital, he was born in an ambulance and the whole experience was awful. So I am expecting another fast labour if it happens naturally.

Other issues are from about 20 weeks I have struggling with a very fast heart rate, as soon as I’m on my feet my heart rate is anywhere from 130-160. I have seen 2 doctors, one told me to stop looking at my Apple Watch and the other did an ECG which was all okay and gave me iron tablets.

I’m also pretty much bed bound with SPD and struggle to make it from bed to the loo, so I’m concerned about having to make a fast dash to the hospital when I can hardly move.

So yeah.. Previous PPH, heart rate issues, fast labours and unbearable SPD pain.

Should I wait to go into labour and hope for the best or look at elective c section or induction? What would you do?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read x

Pregnant doula here, I'm seeing a rise in homebirth or straight elective caesareans - not much middle road.

Rise in both instances from those who have had bad first births in a typical "go with the flow" approach.

A huge move away from inductions and the typical "cascade of intervention"

Where do you feel most safe?
