Going into labour naturally after previous induction

First DC arrived 17 days post dates by EMCS after 2 days of induction. All happy and healthy and it wasn't scary, so I consider myself lucky.

Now I'm approaching 2nd DC's due date and I'm very open-minded about how to give birth. I have no idea what labour would be like if it comes on naturally or how my body would behave, but I've lost a bit of faith that my body would ever actually do that.

Anyone go naturally the second time after a long (possibly failed) induction the first time? How was it?

Me! 4 days past my due date and he came in two hours. Everyone told me it would be quick but, wow!

I'm not going to lie, it was painful as no time for an epidural (like I had with my first) but recovery was very quick so swings and roundabouts!

Thank you for your reply! I'm hoping for something like this.

My second arrived the day before his due date. Contractions started as I was getting into bed at 10:30 pm, got to the hospital at midnight, baby was born at 6:22 am :) all straightforward, no pain medication (I didn't have any with my first either, despite the induction 😬)

Trust your body. Good luck!
