Slight tmi gas after emcs?

I'm 3 days post emcs and have always had problems with my bowels (IBS-C).
Sorry for the following info but is it normal that all of a sudden just now I'm starting to get gassy? It's making my back & belly feel less full so it's got to be a good thing but does this mean my system is starting to get back into working order? I've been drinking water like a fish really hoping not to have to deal with constipation!

Yes I got really gassy about 3 days after too and still constipated on and off now 3 weeks later.

@SnowSnow how is it? Im so worried about the constipation, been religiously taking movicol though to try and stop it getting out of hand

Yep - I had this both times I had a section. Peppermint tea helped, and windeeze.

Constipation didn't kick in 'til about day 6 for me, so stick with the movicol!

Congrats.

Yes, very normal I'm afraid.

Make sure you've got some stool softeners or glycerine suppositories for when you need to go.

Congratulations on your new baby!

It was normal for me. I also didn't poo for TEN days! The wind pains were so bad I almost called 999 as I was convinced my uterus was ripping open or something. I'd never heard of Lactose. I stocked up before my second baby!!!

Lactolouse

I am having to take laxatives whereas normally I have a bowel condition causing diarrhoea!

Khvdrt · 27/10/2023 18:39

Peppermint tea helped with wind I found
