IIRC the say notto use them until after the 6 week check.

I certainly wouldn't use them 9day after birth, it would stil be lochia so best to still use towels.
Also I wouldn't bank on your period arriving next week...it could be a while befor e it returns properly.

Errrmm- but my pal (who had a c-section also) found the tampons didn't quite fit/work the same as before straight away, so maybe be prepared for unexpected leaks!

mumofk,

why wouldn't the tampons work after c-section? Is that normal?

mumofk · 10/03/2008 13:06

No idea Alexa, there were 5 of us in our group, 1 had section. I expected she'd not have the same problems some of us had, but she did.
Tampons not comfy for me now (after vaginal birth), but find Mooncup brilliant!

Ahhh...I see. Just wondered...thought I might ask, as I'm on my first baby and a total novice to it all. Cheers!

LOL....god knows why I changed the word 'weeks' to 'days' in my mind.

the thought of using tampon makes me now so I nearly fainted at 9days

9 weeks will eb fine, as lulu has said.

Still can't use tampons 5 years after VB
