im soo confussed. Ive just moved to newhaven from hampshire......and havent a clue what to do. im almost 34 weeks pregnant! Crowborough seems to be the place to go. This is my first child, is it a case of signing with my local gp and requesting where id like to give birth? Not sure what my options are.
Manythanks from any advice anyone can give.

Hi Louise, I'm not from either area, but I too will be changing area during my preg. Firstly, don't worry or stress yourself as this will be sorted out. Was your previous GP or midwife able to forward your notes on to your new area?
Make an appointment with your new GP and discuss it with her. There's no point in worrying over it until you know what all your options are, IYKWIM. You'll be looked after I'm sure.

All the best.

hi louise. Can you check out the MN local site and ask on there for recommendations/experiences of the local hospitals?

I'd take your handheld notes to your GP and ask to see your practice midwife as a matter of urgency too. I'm sure you won't be allowed to slip through the net

louise55x, Crowborough is a wonderful birth centre. Give them a call and arrange to have a look around. The MW's are amazing and will be very helpful, the centre offer a complete antenatal care and offer parental classes as well. They have a lovely waterbirth unit and there Postnatal support is the best you can get almost a one to one. I would highly recommend it, so go for it
