3/5 palpable at 34 +2, third baby

Hello

I went for my 34 week midwife appointment today. I’m currently measuring 35cm at 34+2 and 3/5th palpable.

This is my third baby.
My midwife said she’d be shocked if I go full term.

I’m just wondering if anyone had any experience with similar and when labour started?

I guess I’m worried the baby may come soon - my sons were born 1 week 2 days early and 3 weeks early.

TIA

Sounds like given your history there's a chance that baby will arrive before the due date but it does sound as though they're checking you regularly?

I would take the opportunity to put your feet up if you can and eat done snacks Flowers

What is the midwife basing this on? Previous babies coming a bit earlier would suggest you tend that way, but engagement isn't too much of an indicator.

I had one who was fully engaged for 8 weeks before labour started near my edd and one who never engaged even a mm and came early.

I’m completely guessing the fact my previous babies have come early/earlier. I didn’t ask in all fairness.
It was only when I Iooked at my notes at home I noticed the 3/5th.

I think I’m reading into everything as I’m 100% more on edge about giving birth this time!

My second was born at 37 weeks so I was sure my third would come early, was engaged 3/5th from 34 + 1, but I still had to be induced (38 + 5 due to static growth) I’d been in slow labour for a week before induction and didn’t need any gels etc so when they broke my waters I was 7cm and he was born 44 minutes later and I believe this was because he was so low for so long! I’d heard stories about 3rd babies being awkward and labours being stop start and didn’t believe it until it happened! xx
