Preparing for c section

Hi,

I'm having a planned c section in three weeks. This will be my second one. With my first one it was last minute so didn't have time to prepare. I struggled a lot with the recovery so I want to make this time as easy as possible. I read about taking arnica in the run up, has anybody tried it? Or does anybody have any tips or advice how to make the recovery as smooth as possible?

Use Veet around your scar the day before so they don't have to shave, so you don't end up with that super itchy regrowth

Don't take arnica while still pregnant or BF.
stock up on pain relief paracetamol and ibupefen as you will be taking this regularly for the first week or so.

I had a box with all nappies, wipes and spare clothes downstairs so that I didn’t have to keep going up and down.
I also had peppermint tea ready for the wind and stocked up on painkillers.
Second time I also used a rolled up baby blanket between my tummy and the seat belt which helped when travelling in the car. Also lots of pillows in bed and under my knees when sleeping.
Second time I also took things a lot slower rather than push myself too quickly.

Tell whoever you are with (probably partner) not to laugh when you start farting on day 2 if that will make you laugh, as laughing hard is so so so painful. Get all of those laughs out of the. Way. OwZ
