Some of these are absolutely amazing. It makes me a little sorry we didn't film ours (not that I'd ever put it online)
This one is lovely

And this is interesting, to see the differences in U.S and U.K methods.

I wish I'd watched some of these before giving birth the first time, I think it really helps to see actual experiences.

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 07/03/2008 21:05

gawd the more you watch of the american births the more 'managed' and medical they look

all babies seem to have airway cleared - whats all that about?

Lulumama · 07/03/2008 21:12

PaulaYatesBiggestFan · 07/03/2008 21:14

Lulumama · 07/03/2008 21:15

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 07/03/2008 21:30

I've had 3 births already but watching other peoples (especially that American being coached) makes me cringe so hard that I've just sucked my 30-week pregnant bump in so tightly that my tummy is now completely flat.

specialmagiclady · 07/03/2008 21:40

Just watched the first one and am in total bits. NOt watching any more. Will cry and cry and cry.

whomovedmychocolate · 08/03/2008 19:54

Well that just confirmed the bad things that are done to you in hospitals argument .

But the less interventionist ones were just beautiful.

(but why are so many of the vids on this thread not linked [vexed])

mum2samandalex · 08/03/2008 22:02

oh my i was watching one beautiful birth 'paikeas birth' or something and didnt realise that the baby girl passed away at the end.It was made in memory for their daughter and even showed them saying their goodbyes i feel very upset now. The young lady was apperantly in labour for 4.5days thats shocking.

lol @ PaulaYatesBiggestFan's shock:
"after delivery does your fanny just hang there all gaping and horrid"

and
AdamAnt : "No Paula - it springs back neatly into shape so you can open your post-partum celebratory bottle of beer with it minutes after the birth"

quint · 16/03/2008 19:22

Wow - I only watched the first few and I can honestly say that after having DD2 (now 18m) I never ever thought I would get broody and want another, but I do now!!!!

Mad or what - watching someone else go through the agony of childbirth and I want to do it all again!
