Does this sound like early labour?!

So this is my second baby but my first labour was on the drip which is like 0-agony with no build up..

Think I had false labour pains last couple of days/nights. Keep getting what felt like intense period cramps in my back and along my bump and lower abdomen. And just general uncomfy crampy ache in my lower abdomen and back. Not regular intervals but had like 4 in an hour at one point. They were strong enough to make me stop what I was doing until it passed.

Woke up this morning feeling crampy and achey and keep getting waves of what feels like period cramps. Plus when I stand up baby is definitely low down.

I'm 37+6. Does this sound like early/latent labour? Definitely stronger than braxton hicks.

It's hard to say as everyone is different. What I can say is with my 2nd labour which wasn't induced I woke up with tightenings and those tightenings got closer and more intense as the day went on. I still didn't realise I was in actual labour until an hour before though. I'm 38 weeks today and also thinking every twinge could be it 🤣. I've told myself though that unless I get regular twinges/tightenings then I'm going to write it off as my body just preparing for labour.

Sounds like my early labour. How are you now?

Yes. Be aware that this can go on for days with absolutely no regularity until suddenly you want to start pushing! This was my experience with my second!

Good luck. You've got this!

Sound slike it could be but that might mean a slow ramp up. I found thinking about them as ones I didn't have to have in active labour helped a lot.
