am 38 weeks, have had discomfort and strong BHs for a few days. Had sweep today with view to induce on friday because of OC.

Have had backache since a few hours after sweep and now having different kinds of pain at front. was apparently 3cm earlier...so..how can i encourage things to happen now that DP is home and the boys settled in bed?

No to curry as i don't do spices (and its not worth the heartburn for the rest of the night!!), no to sex as am too uncomfortable

walking around? bouncing on a birthing/exercise ball? raspberry leaf tea?

is there any way you could get dh/p to er, deposit into a cup and turkey baste the spunk into you? tis the stuff, not the act, that helps to bring on labour... unless you could bear maybe v gentle sex (bit easier perhaps??)

she has put in the box that IOL for OC by ARM (she has told me that all they are liekly to need to do is break my waters)

IOL is induction of labour by ARM, artificial rupture of membranes, i.e crochet hook up your foofoo to start things off !
