Hello all

I'm 40+6 and have just had a show...been having period like pain for the last week or two (no back pain yet though) and lots of increasingly intense Braxton Hicks...is labour imminent or could it still be a few days???!? And what should I be doing now???!

I'm not going to be much help here but bumping for you anyway. I think it could go either way - I've heard some people have a show when they still have a few days to go.

OTOH, I had a show after I was already having proper contractions, so it varies.

What to do now? Well - I opted for curry, a long walk in the park and sex, all on the day before labour started...

Should add a disclaimer - of course I have no idea if any of those things helped or if it was just coincidence!

Thanks doggiesayswoof I'll bear all that in mind...did the sex thing the other night, not sure if I can be bothered again !! Am going to start by cleaning the floors in true "nesting" style.

I would advise against that Avon, keep your energy in case labour starts soon !
Both my daughters were born 12 hours after my shows. Keep us updated and good luck to you, things could get moving soon.
