When was your induction booked for?

I’m currently overdue and due to an admin error my midwife has put my referral for an induction in later than expected.

She has said that the appointment is likely to be 41+4 (10 days after you are overdue). I asked if there’s any chance of trying to get in around 41 weeks and she gave me a flat “no”.

In the NICE guidelines it says inductions should be considered an option from 41 weeks so I don’t know why I’m being made to wait. Trying to establish what is normal and what I have space to make a decision on/influence.

How far overdue were any others of you who were induced?

side note I’ve done my homework on inductions and drawbacks - please don’t use this as a space to try and deter me, as I’ve researched what I need to.

I was 42 weeks exactly when induced.

I didn't go for it in the end, but inductions are booked for 41+5 in my trust

Inductions are scheduled for 41+3 at my trust.

42 Weeks exactly, he arrived exactly 14 days after his due date 🙂

Booked in at 41+4 for my 2nd baby. He was born 41+6. I wasn't actually induced until 41+6 (long story) and he was born 6 hours later.

I'm going back to 2019 so things may have moved on since then. I had an antenatal appointment at 40+6 and during that appointment my midwife called the hospital and booked me in to be induced at 42 weeks exactly, but I went into labour naturally at ten days overdue.

The trust I'm under had my induction booked on at 41+5 but don't induce any earlier than 41+3. I requested for my induction to be brought forward due to SPD/PGP getting progressively worse. My waters broke at 41+2 naturally and baby was born 41+3 without induction.
