Speed if labor after C section

Hello.

Sorry if repeated question but I went thru many threads and couldn’t really find an specific answer I was looking for.

I had my son by ELCS almost two years ago. Currently pregnant with second and I will be having ELCS again.
I was wondering if there are any ladies about who went into labour before their second section date?
(I am interested in opinion of ladies who’s labour never started before the first section in particular).
If so how fast was it?
Did You make it to hospital in time to have a second section? Or had to go thru VABC because it was too late?

Absolutely terrified of that happening. I know every labour is different but it gives me comfort reading experiences of others.

Thank You

My VBAC was about 3 hours at 39+0. I left it too late for a c-section but that was my fault really for not believing I was in established labour. If I'd gone to hospital as soon as my contractions started, I could have had one. I had a ELCS booked for 39+5 but was willing to try VBAC if baby was in a good position and spontaneous labour etc.

I had an EMCS first time round. Induced so not spontaneous labour. Midwives thought VBAC was quick because I'd got to 10cm dilated before my EMCS.

Not sure if being induced counts as labour not starting for you.

Thank You, that’s very helpful.
Yes I mostly meant woman who never dilated at all with the first ELCS.

Wow that’s some fast labour!

I had a planned c sec first time round, never went in to labour.

Second time around, had c sec booked for 39 week. Had some contractions 38+1, went to hospital, nothing happening. 38+3 had more contractions. Phoned labour ward when it became clear that the contractions were regular so not another false start and they told me to head straight in. Got there around 6pm, was 4cm dilated. They offered vbac and I said no. Ended up waiting for the night shift to start (was given the option, figured a fresh team better than those finishing a 12 hour shift!). Has c sec around 8pm. So plenty of time in my case!
