At what stage should the baby be settling into a head down position?

Am 20 something weeks and getting kicked very low down all day long

ds was breech too near the end for comfort last time, and never got into a wholly straightforward position, so am slightly nervy

Vast majority of babies will turn by 36 weeks. No point even thinking about it until then. After that most still turn on their own or with ECV.

My first one was always kicking me in the bladder and was definately breech until 33 + weeks. My second one I thought had been head down all of the time but my mw was convinced that he was breech at 34 weeks. It all felt the same to me at 36 weeks but she reckoned by then that he was head down and he came out the right way.
