Btw I was very nervous about giving birth. Left it far too late to actual hypnobirth but just reading the first chapter made me feel so much better.

Please ignore me if this is inappropriate, as not directly what you've asked, but I found Milli Hill The positive birth book really useful for my mental state before birth. I also did a hypnobirthing course, but it wasn't really my thing. I wouldn't discourage you from trying for yourself though.

It was getting on for 12 years ago now but with both mine I used Natal Hypnotherapy. There was a book but I found the CDs most helpful & for ages afterwards just listening to the music made me feel really relaxed. I think now they have a website where you download the tracks. Not strictly hypnobirthing but the best book I read was pregnancy, birth and beyond by Marie Louise. A lot of hypnobirthing is about knowing the facts and I found this one invaluable, I'll read it again if I have another

Positive birth digital course was amazing

I’d recommend the Positive Birth Company online course over a book, it’s not expensive and you can watch at your own pace. I’ve had 2 very positive (but quite different) births thanks to it.
