Yoni Steaming - does it work?

Has anyone tried yoni steaming and did it work? I have heard it can help with pain after childbirth but it has other properties too. If it worked for you I would love to hear about it

By what mechanism is it supposed to help? It just sounds like a huge risk for some very painful burns!

If you are after a "natural" solution I took arnica after my first baby which helped me enormously, and is very unlikely to do any harm.

Arnica and a sitz bath is just as good!

Yoni steamer seems a bit of a faff, but I think it's one of those things that's as much about the ritual as the proposed benefits, which are more or less the same as a sitz bath with some healing herbs.

This sounds like it would be really painful after childbirth knowing what it feels like after 2 vaginal deliveries.
All I wanted was something cold down there, I put maternity pads covered with pure aloe vera gel in the freezer before I gave birth and would use those to cool the area, heat just made it sting- A warm sitz bath was something I could just about tolerate.
I would also second the use of Arnica, great stuff to help reduce the bruising and swelling, and help the healing process.
