Elective C-Sec at Chelsea & Westminster

Hello!

Has anyone gone down the elective C-sec route at Chelsea & Westminster hospital?

I told the midwife my preferences around the ten week mark and again at the 17 week mark.

I'm now 24 weeks pregnant but no appointment with the consultant yet to chat through! Wondering what the process is supposed to be!

Thanks you!

I'm with Kingston and worried about the same, have my 16 week appointment and will talk to the consultant about my preferences for ELCS (43 years old and multiple IVF treatments which were traumatic and had an affect on my mental health) I have a feeling they will drag this on and won't want to confirm until 36 weeks and push me for an induction hence thinking about private options. C&W seems good though there are not a lot of reviews online. They do free intros with the consultants which may help though. Good luck!

It's very early for those conversations. I'd expect a consultation around 32 or 34w for c-section, with date booked in around 36w for a 39w delivery, assuming everything normal.
