Lewisham hospital visiting

I'm unsure whether the website is up to date for Lewisham postnatal ward. If anyone knows the current visiting guidelines I'd be better grateful!

Also how do you go about requesting a private room?

Many thanks

If it's anything like our local Hospital the private rooms usually go to those most in need.

I had a baby at Lewisham in 2018. Tbh the postnatal ward was quite overcrowded, but that was 5 years ago so obviously things might have changed! I paid for a private room for the second night to get some peace and quiet (I hadn’t slept for a long time….) I just asked the midwives whether there was one free, I don’t know if you can book in advance?

You can usually book them at a cost
