Back pain after an epidural

Hi there,
I had an emergency c-section 3 months ago with an epidural. Everything was fine with no problems. Only recently I have started having slight back pains and I think it is where the needle went in. Does anyone have similar experience? Is it anything I should worry about?

Hi, I have done some reading via different internet searches, there is alot of information around epidurals, & the after effects...

I did have a bit of backpain after mine, and general weakness in my back. It went away though after a few weeks.

I had this, dd is 2.9 now so can't remember exactly when I got it and how long it lasted. I took arnica in labour and after to help with the bruising, the anaesthetist told me 'I'd feel like I'd been kicked in the back by horse after the epidural' but i was fine and put feeling ok down to the arnica. I'd assumed the arnica was all out of my system by the time I felt some tenderness in the area a few weeks later, this lasted a few months and then gradually went away. I expect yours will get better soon too, but if it worsens I'd ask your GP about it.
