Can I asked to be induced?

I’ve been having pains since Saturday night, the pains and pressure are getting worse but are not regulating.
I have a high bmi, pos strep b, I’ve had RFM x 2, I was previously induced at 40 weeks because of pre-eclampsia, my blood pressure was dangerously high! I’ve been having growth scans, I’m 37+6 but I don’t have any appointments till 39 weeks, I’ve spoken to maternity triage who reckon I could be in early labour but it’s a case of waiting, I want to know if I can request to be induced as I’m so knackered from these pains I haven’t slept since Friday night before they started, the pressure from her head is agonising! I can feel her head pushing and pushing down but doesn’t seem to be getting far, I’m scared she won’t fit and after all of the pain I’ll have to have a c-section anyway or something!

any advice or similar experiences

Of course you can ask. There may be reasons they’d advise waiting but you’ll never know if you don’t ask. Good luck!
