Post-partum pelvic pressure?

Evening all,

Hoping for a bit of reassurance/experience share as I'm 2 weeks pp and suddenly feeling pressure in the pelvic area, which I hadn't felt ar all since birth.
I feel it started when I went to the loo and strained due to being constipated. Is this normal or the sign of something worse to come? My labour was fairly quick, 13h total l, vaginal delivery and no use of instruments.
Any similar experiences or thoughts much appreciated! x

Could be the beginnings of a prolapse.

Don't lift anything heavier than your baby and preferably much less, and stay off your feet as much as you can.

Do not get constipated. Plenty of water and fibre.

Not sure if allowed to do pelvic floor exercises so soon after birth, but maybe ask midwife/dr??

Hope it resolves for you.

Ask your GP for a referral to a pelvic floor physiotherapist. It's common but not something you should have to live with and could worsen over time so it's worth sorting out.

To answer query in the previous post, Kegels are safe straight away after delivery (unless you've been told otherwise by your midwife, OP). The NHS Squeezy app is a good place to start.
