Low bump question (bump pic attached)

So I'm 32 weeks and I have polyhydramnios (extra fluid around baby)

Today my bump feels really different and tender and LOTS of pressure, low down and on my bladder. TMI but I had diarrhoea last night and tonight also have been extremely fatigued the past two days. But mainly my bump feels so tender and tight. It feels like it could almost pop I don't know how to explain it. I'm measuring large and afraid it's reaching capacity.

Could this mean labour is coming soon? How long after bump dropping did you have your baby. This is my second baby. Pic of my bump attached

Oh @Irishwifey your reply put a huuuuge smile on my face - I didn't have a bag packed either!! Lol
I went into the hospital when my waters started leaking with a bag full of crap and not a bit of organisation. Thank goodness after a nights keep they discharged me saying to come back later that night. So I went to my mums and she packed a bag and got the pram etc sorted while I contracted in her livingroom 😂
This is exciting for you yaaay!! 😁😁

The only thing is I am only 32 weeks so it's way too early for baba to come!!! I wanna keep him in for much longer, hopefully I can 😬

Ds fluttered about and kicked like mad I could see his wee feet through my belly

DP just corrected me I was 34wk when symptoms started and ds was born at 34+2
He was a teeny 5lbs 11oz and 40cm

I had awful PGP when my bump was sat like yours - do you have a belly brace?

Irishwifey · 25/06/2023 08:08

@twoandcooplease did he need nicu or was he ok?

I think I have a belt somewhere from my last pregnancy, might be best to root it out cos I'm waddling around and my hips are killing me!

@Irishwifey see bless you do look sore and carrying lots of weight on your hips!

No nicu but he was jaundiced so he had 4 nights light treatment in a box next to my bed

Irishwifey · 25/06/2023 10:21

@twoandcooplease aw that is very reassuring to hear he didn't need nicu that is really scary to me!

Yes I feel like a blimp 😂

Did you have extra fluid with your son? I feel like when my waters pop it's going to be like the niagra falls 😂

@Irishwife 😂😂 there was soooooo much water. I was having a gush every time I took a step. It took a good 15 minutes to walk from a disabled bay into the hosp door when I could reach a toilet and change the double maternity pads I had on. And that went on for 1.5 days!! 😂🙈
I asked the midwives when it would stop and they said once I had the baby!!. No one told me that and I was so naive 😂

Buuuut you have done this before so you won't have any surprises
Just that hospital bag to pack now mama! (And pack some extra mat pads!)

Hi is there any update? I'm in the same position today! Only I'm 33 weeks

WalkingAcrossAFord · 27/06/2023 12:07

Looks like baby may be arriving soon. You refer to baby as 'him.' Is it defo a boy? It looks like a boy to me judging by how low the bump is! Grin

Irishwifey · 28/06/2023 11:00

Hey girlies, all is fine at the moment and baby is still happy in my belly. I feel he may have moved slightly back up again and my bump is not as tender although still tender!

This Baby is a boy 🥰 we have one baby girl who just turned two yesterday! 😇

I have a growth scan at 34 weeks (in two weeks time) so it will be interesting to see what they suggest at that. I think they may make a plan at that stage, weather to induce (closer to full term obviously not 34 weeks) or section or leave me to see do I go myself. That's because of the polyhydramnios.

Because it was little ladies birthday we've been busy bees and I still haven't packed my bag! I may need to get to it today cos I know I'll feel better 😬

Our snoo arrived yesterday, it's all getting very real now! 😌 just hope I can keep him in there another few weeks!
