Question about labour

I'm 41+1 today and been having irregular contractions all week.

I had an odd experience last night - began to feel sick and have contractions every 30 mins - and felt sort of 'drifty' iykwim, and I thought 'this is it'. But then we started watching a documentary about the second world war and I thought maybe I don't want to bring a baby into such a world (I do realise it's a bit late to be thinking like that now!). And I kind of snapped out of it and the contractions stopped.

I wondered if anyone else had experienced similar?

had a similar experience - regular contractions for about 45 minutes that just stopped. went into labour proper 2 days later.

if you're 41+1 you wont have much more waiting to do.

good luck!

I have heard that anxiety (dont know if i spelt that correctly) can stop your contractions. That why they say not to head to hospital to early unless needed as the fear and anxiety caused by being in that enviroment can stop or slow down labour.
