Small feet small pelvis?

Is it true that small feet mean a small pelvis? I have UK size 3 feet. I am also very petite - 5’1” and underweight pre-pregnancy (and at the start of pregnancy). My DP (baby’s dad) is 6’2”.

My mum is 5’0” and also has size 3 feet. She had a very slow labour with my brother and his shoulders got stuck (shoulder dystocia). My brother was over 8lbs, so way too big for her pelvis.

My growth scans show my baby at 50th centile so I’m not expecting a small baby. I’m interested to hear the childbirth experiences of other petite women - especially if your DP is tall.

My mum and I both have size 8 feet. Both ended up with forceps deliveries due to awkwardly shaped pelvises. Apparently there was no way to know until we tried pushing other humans through them.

I have size 1.5 feet and have given birth to a 9lb 2oz baby with no difficulty. My Mum,sister, maternal aunts and cousins all have feet between size 1 and 3 and nobody to my knowledge has had any particular problems in labour.

I'm a very similar build to you OP and was always told I'd struggle. Pregnancy I wore preteen jeans.

Absolutely no problem with either labour unlike my BF who has always been told she has "child bearing hips" and ended up with an emergency section after 3 days.

Size 2/12 feet, 5ft 1, DH is 6 foot. First labour straight forward, just over five hours, second labour was an induction, but still only five hours in total

I’m 5ft, size 6, small feet. Dh is 6ft2.

Ive had 3 relatively trouble free births, with 8lb being the biggest (90th centile) They were all relatively quick.

My mum is the same and had 2 fast labours, as did my sister. Maybe there’s some truth in the genetic argument.
