Hello,
Interested in your experience if this has happened to you. At 20 weeks I was told placenta was covering the cervix and with every subsequent scan sonographers, midwide and consultant all agreed it was extremely unlikely to move as it was mostly posterior. I was booked for a C section provisionally and I mentally prepared myself for it too. Then all of a sudden at 36 weeks I was told the placenta has moved, they don't know the distance exactly but they're adamant it's not a risk factor anymore. While I have no reason to doubt them as they're qualified and I'm not, I still have a smidge of a doubt and I worry I'll go into spontaneous labour and bleed out in my kitchen. I'm also struggling to understand how the safe distance can be determined when the cervix is expected to dilate to 10cm, can anyone explain that? The consultant was very quick to dismiss me on the phone saying it's all good, not a risky pregnancy any more, good luck. I'm 40 weeks tomorrow, 2nd baby. Looking for some reassurance 😌
