Induction with 3rd baby 39+1

Hi all,
I'm being induced tomorrow at 39+1 with my 3rd baby due to placenta issues. My cervix however is closed and thick but is soft. Has anyone been induced with a cervix the same as mine with a 2nd or 3rd pregnancy? If so how did it go and how long did it take? I've had 2 inductions before and it takes my body a while to react to the drugs but when it does it goes insanely fast but I've always been about 1cm before. Thanks

I wonder how it’s going and really hope all ok. Mine went from not reacting to too fast and hopefully yours will be smooth and go well. Our baby arrived just after midnight so the next day from being induced

@SensitiveB Thanks for replying, were you closed at the time so you know or had you started to dilate? So it took just over 12 hours? I went in but baby's head was high so midwife wanted to wait for doctor to confirm the go ahead that he was head down. Took them until 8pm to do that so by then I opted to wait another few days. She did a sweep and I was posterior but 1cm so she said another sweep Saturday and Monday and then in for induction Tuesday where they would prefer to try and just break my waters If the sweeps work. No i hadn’t started to dilate. Yes just over 14 hours but I had a very unusual and rare thing as it ended up as a cord prolapse. I think that’s good they’re happy to delay the induction and hope it goes well.

@SensitiveB oh no how scary for you, did it all end okay?
My first baby I had polyhydramnious and cord prolapse was the thing they were worried about most so they did a controlled water break. This one is high up so it got mentioned again but the consultant did say he was far enough in my pelvis yesterday. X
