Periods following childbirth

Not sure I'm posting this in the right section, so tell me to go away, but thought I'd try anyway.

But of a daft question, but when can one expect one's periods to return to something like normal following childbirth? DD is 4mo and we're mixed feeding. Period started week before Christmas, started taking Micronor (mini pill). It was making me fill rubbish so stopped taking it and haven't had a period since. Please please please please tell me that this is a normal state of affairs. I started with pregnancy symptoms very early on last time and I don't feel pregnant, but I'm a wee bit worried.

Anyone?

I didn't get any periods at all till 8 months, but they were dead regular from then on. I also took the mini pill and then stopped it after a couple of months. Is it worth you taking a pg test?

Probably yes to put my mind at rest!! But I don't feel like I can walk into a shop with a teeny baby and purchase aforementioned test... Me and my hang-ups there!

Oh God.

Gaaaaaaa

I should point out I had enough difficulty buying tests when pg with DD last year. I'm very odd.

Could it just be the side effects of the mini pill?

yes it could be the affects of the mini pill also irregular periods can be common after childbirth and because of bf.

perhaps get on line and buy some inexpensive preg tests to put your mind at rest and sort out your contraception. Personally I found the small age gap easy than the larger ones!

I had still had no periods by 10 mths while bf (only twice per day then). Then took minipill for a bit (still no periods) then stopped and got pg straight away!
